Art In Place

The intersection of art and architecture is integral to Verdant Studio’s practice.

Verdant Studio is excited to lead an all new program, Art in Place , launched by The Urban Land Institute. Northwest Arkansas is one of nine ULI councils chosen to be a part of this global program, other locations include: ULI Hong Kong; ULI France; ULI Germany; Austin, TX; Cleveland, OH; Tampa, FL; ULI Indiana; and ULI Louisiana.

Through this program, artists will be introduced to the early stages of real estate developments seeking innovative connections to their communities. Art in Place  is the next step in ULI’s ongoing commitment to  Creative Placemaking , an important part of Verdant Studio’s mission, and a movement focused on the integration of art, culture, and creativity as levers of community vitality.

Through the program these councils will organize a series of local events and panels to engage artists, creative types, and real estate decision-makers to amplify community voices and artist perspectives in an effort drive more inclusive and participatory real estate development processes. Dayton Castleman, Director of Creative Placemaking and Artist Lead, at Verdant Studio, helped get NWA on the radar for this grant-based program and is leading the project regionally.
